The Shirley Home for the Aged welcomes volunteers to join the Helping Hands fundraising Commitee. From forming friendships to creating smiles, Volunteers help residents learn new skills, share many of their talents, and help improve quality of life. This kind of impact is truly immeasurable.
We also offer a variety of other volunteer opportunities, some of which include:
- Pen-Pals or visits
- playing music
- Storytelling sessions
- reading to residents
- Assist with a craft/project.
- coordinating games
- Singing/dancing
- teaching a skill or trade
- education/discussion sessions
- and much much more!
Anyone can volunteer—groups or individuals, students or youth groups, and residents or community members. Volunteer on a schedule that works for you—weekly, monthly, quarterly, or even on a one-time basis.
